BARBARA BENTREE

Barbara Bentree is a multiple Award-Winning Filmmaker and Musician. As a Vocalist, Bentree took First Place in the prestigious Hennessey Jazz Search with her a capella vocal group “Terra Nova.” Barbara has directed theatre companies, and produced music for television shows. She was most notably a part of “The New Mickey Mouse Club” production team on The Disney Channel where she auditioned and selected Ryan Gosling, Kerri Russell, Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, and Christina Aguilera for the show, to name only a few.

As a Filmmaker, Bentree directed and produced a documentary film titled "My Choice" about independent women and another film titled "Should You Go?" about High School Reunions. Her most recent documentary film, "Dave Grusin: Not Enough Time," appeared in numerous film and music festivals all over the world and qualified for the 2019 Oscars and Grammy Awards.

For her last two films, Barbara has won multiple awards in the following categories; “Best Documentary,” “Best Woman Filmmaker,” “Best Inspirational Film,” “Audience Favorite,” “Best Editing,” and numerous others.

Ms. Bentree is currently developing several other screenplays, books, and web series. She is a member of SAG / AFTRA and has been a Board Member for New Mexico Women In Film, The Academy for New Musical Theatre, and a member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
